The Brightest Star on the Sky Tonight is a Planet

If you told me yesterday that I will be able to see another planet (besides Earth) with the naked eye, I probably won’t believe you.

But as I was on my weekly run tonight, I saw this really bright star on the West, and I immediately knew it wasn’t a star. That is Venus, I say to myself. It was a

I googled it after getting home, and true enough that bright bluish white thing on the Western sky is Venus, the second nearest planet to us.

I’ll read and write about Venus some more when I continue to see it in the next few days.
